Siddhi Creative presents an evening length piece titled “The Maze”, which is an exploration of dance and theater, supported by music. This initial iteration of the work sees our world as a complex maze that we all are constantly navigating in. In this game, often many get trapped with no way out and it is not by the choices they make, but because of the conspiracy that’s often plotted by a few others to gain/retain power and wealth. The work explores the suffocation of being trapped, muted, and ignored.

Anisha Ramakrishna Yarlapati will begin with a Nrithyanjali, which is a traditional composition of the Bharatanatyam repertoire, followed by the Mahalakshmi Ashtakam. The 8 stanzas of the ashtakam are in praise of the Great Maya. Anisha draws a parallel between the Universal mother, Mother nature and all the strong women we see in our daily lives as she describes through the 8 stanzas the different aspects of the Great Maya. This composition is a tribute to womanhood.
