Rosa Parks Academy of the Arts: Dancing Nature: A Dance and Music Journey into Nature

A promotional flyer for 'Dancing Nature: A Dance and Music Journey into Nature,' presented by Rosa Parks Academy of the Arts. The flyer features three artists: Rosangela Silvestre (Artistic Director, Choreographer), Sean Scantlebury (Dancer), and Babá Durú (Drums & Percussion). Performances are held at the London Nelson Community Center Auditorium in Santa Cruz, CA, on Saturday, September 14th at 7 PM, and Sunday, September 15th at 2 PM. A sliding scale of $20-35, with children’s tickets at $15, is available. There is also a performance workshop series from Monday, September 9th to Friday, September 13th, with sliding scale fees ranging from $20-35 per day or $100 for all five days. Workshops are from 6-7:30 PM, followed by free rehearsals from 7:30-9 PM each day. The flyer includes logos of the London Nelson Community Center and the Arts Council of Santa Cruz County.

An immersive journey through dance and music into the vibrations of nature, with choreography and Artistic Direction from Rosangela Silvestre, featuring guest artists Baba Durú and Sean Scantlebury alongside dancers and musicians from the community. A creative collaboration between artists from Brazil, Barbados, and the US. Come experience the stories of nature told through movement with power and grace.
