Marin Academy Hip Hop Dance Teacher

Marin Academy is seeking an experienced Hip Hop teacher for a part-time, one-semester position. The course meets every other day for 75 minutes from 8-9:15 am. The position also requires developing a piece with the Hip Hop class – during class time – to be performed during the MA Spring Dance Assemblies and Evening Concert performances on April 26th and 27th. The teacher also leads tech rehearsals for the Hip Hop piece outside class time from April 23rd-25th (afternoons/evenings). Other duties include writing comments, grading, answering email, and working with the MA Dance Company and concert director to provide publicity, program notes and other concert information, as well as coordinating/communicating with costume, lighting, and sound needs for the Hip Hop piece to the Technical Director and Designers.

Palo Alto Teacher

The Palo Alto Children’s Theater is seeking a dance teacher/artist to teach children’s dance classes during the school day in elementary schools in the Palo Alto School District. Pay is $32/per class. Up to 9 classes in a day. Teacher do their own scheduling with the school.

Must be responsible, timely, creative. Should be able to demonstrate past experience as a dance teacher/resident artist. Must be willing to be fingerprinted/cleared to work with children.

Paid Performance Guides for Trolley Dances

Epiphany Dance Theater is seeking paid performance guides for the 15th annual of SF Trolley Dances on Fri–Sun, Oct 19–21 (10:30am–5pm). Mandatory training on Sat, Oct 13 ~10:30am–2pm. Animated and friendly, guides will lead 1–2 performance tours on each day, directing groups of 80+ through a designated route in SF. Payment is usually $300 lump sum for the entire weekend, with additional pay possible if available for Salesforce Park evening tours on Fri, Oct 12. This year’s line-up includes Kimi Okada of ODC, Robert Moses’ Kin, Aisan Hoss & Dancers, Epiphany, and many more. Great opportunity to network and connect with Bay Area artists and to support a longstanding local event.

The Program Manager will support the Executive Director in three primary areas: Disability Justice Movement Building work, Disability Justice Cultural Work, and Disability Justice Performance/Visual Art work. The Program Manager will support the Executive Director by managing daily organizational operations. The Program Manager will assist the Executive Director with Disability Justice programs including Disability Justice workshops and educational programming. The Program Manager will assist the Artistic Director with all aspects of performance and visual art exhibit creation and execution.

Audience Services Coordinator

ODC Theater, SF

This is part-time, hourly position, working a maximum of 25 hours per week, through December of 2018. This role has the potential to expand to full time, with eligibility for benefits in January 2019. The role reports to the Marketing and Events Manager. The Audience Services Coordinator will work closely with ODC/Theater and marketing teams as well as in concert with other essential services (production and finance) to support performances and public programs and to cultivate relationships with ticket buyers and theater clients. The Audience Services Coordinator oversees and trains hourly front-of-house staff to represent ODC. This position demands demonstrable knowledge and skill in several areas including: (1) high-level and personable customer service; (2) database systems (Salesforce or Patron Manager preferred); (3) box office and front-of-house event management; and (4) familiarity with contemporary dance and performing arts and audiences.
