Paufve Dance: Sisters
Two dancers with long braided hair perform in a space with white walls. One dancer in black costume is lifting another dancer wearing brown.
Sisters is an anthology of dances addressing an urgent contemporary political issue: a woman’s right to choose. Drawing on the dancers’ personal stories of gender expression, motherhood, birth, and pregnancy, Sisters honors the whisper networks, emotional labor, and sororal secrets that sustain us through finely forged choreography and performances by eleven powerhouse women.
