This is an award-winning feature documentary film about an intergenerational group of cisgender men who’ve devoted their lives to contemporary dance. Interspersed with archival performance footage, they discuss their beginnings, the challenges they face(d) following their passion, the support they did or didn’t get and why they dance. The Bay Area dancers include FRANK SHAWL, ERIC KUPERS and SCOTT WELLS. Also included are BILL T. JONES, LAR LUBOVITCH, MATTHEW RUSHING, KYLE ABRAHAM, DONALD BYRD, SEAN CURREN and more.
Poster has a photo of a caucasion man in black briefs in a spiraled form facing the camera. Behind him are smaller imges of black men. On the right, this man is wearing a white tutu and, on the left… is a man with his right arm bent and reaching over his head.
