Tapestry: Weaving the Community of Dance is a celebration event, weaving together the community of dance through the art of performance. This annual concert features professional dance companies, student dance companies and youth groups from the Bay Area. Tapestry provides participants with the opportunity to share performance space in a friendly and supportive environment. This experience is unique and inspiring for the dancer and the audience.

Join us for an unforgettable Bollywood Night in the heart of San Francisco at Union Square – rhythm, fun, community.
5:00 – 6:00 PM – 30 minute Bollywood Dance Lesson + Party — we’ll teach you the steps, the flair, and the fun; then we dance it out together!
6:00 – 7:00 PM – 30 minute Bollywood Dance Lesson + Party — we’ll teach you the steps, the flair, and the fun; then we dance it out together!
7:00 – 8:00 PM – Dance Party — We turn up the music and light up the floor with a 1-hour open dance party.

Bhangra Fundamentals by Rooted Bhangra
This class focuses on the FUN in fundamentals! Designed for all levels—no prior experience needed—you’ll build confidence in the basic footwork, arm movements, and body rhythms that make up Bhangra. More than just a dance class, this is a welcoming, judgment-free space to try something new, immerse yourself in Punjabi culture, and connect with new friends and community.
