Catie Cuan Studio is seeking 10-15 dancers of all backgrounds and identities to perform an approximately 5-minute group contemporary dance number alongside a large, soft robot for a debut performance at Stanford Live on May 21, 2025. Must be able to attend performance on May 21, 2025, the dress rehearsal on Tuesday, May 20, and a short rehearsal on either May 17 or 18, 2025. Dance will be shared via video for individual learning, then set during the short rehearsal and dress rehearsal. Compensation per dancer is $100 each for an approximately 5 hour time commitment (including rehearsals and performances). Catie Cuan Studio is seeking 1 male-identifying and 1 female-identifying dancer to perform a 20-minute contemporary duet alongside a large, soft robot for a debut performance at Stanford Live on May 21, 2025. All rehearsals will take place in SF or Palo Alto. Must be able to attend performance on May 21, 2025, the dress rehearsal on Tuesday, May 20, and 20-30 hours of rehearsals leading up to the performance, primarily on weekends (scheduled around performer and choreographer availability). The performance will be approximately 20 minutes long and ends with a large group number. Compensation per dancer is $1,000 each for an approximately 40 hour time commitment (including rehearsals and performances). Dancers needed for concert in Santa Cruz
Paid rehearsals and performances for concert Calculated Movements, May 9 & 10: dances on contemporary political themes: peace and justice, support for women in math and science, environmental activism, blended with a playful sense of mathematical imagery and ideas.
Needed: 1 or 2 dancers, rehearsals mostly in or near Santa Cruz Sun afternoons or early Wed afternoons. Open to including a guest work under 8 minutes on the current political situation. Other performances possible.
The concert includes aspects of the following, though no dancer need do all:
Technical choreography
Spoken word, storytelling
Playful interactions
Prop manipulations
Rhythmic dance

Duniya Dance and Drum Company is looking for 2-4 dancers of all genders who align with our mission and are dedicated to the power of art to create social change. We do evening-length theater performances, school assemblies, festival performances, and private gigs such as weddings, business events, and parties.
