RAWdance is excited to launch a 3rd round of the Radiate Fellowship — an 18-month paid opportunity supporting early-career dance artists as they pursue their own journeys and goals (artistic, administrative, activist, and any permutation in between) by expanding resources, emphasizing relationship building, and providing a mindful structure for explorations and discovery. Radiate focuses on elevating underrepresented artistic voices and visions through personalized, individual support. Each experience in the program is designed by the Fellow to serve their specific needs, with support from the team at RAWdance.

Bay Area Independent Chinese Dancers ’26-’27 Auditions
We’re so excited to open our ’26-’27 Season Auditions! Independent Chinese Dancers is a collective of Chinese dancers and allies who use traditional arts to tell our original stories firmly rooted in our own experiences in the Bay Area and throughout the world.
We have openings in our Chinese dance, dramaturgy, stage and production management, grants, lighting and sound design, composition and musicians, photography/videography, and visual design teams until August 31st Every team has both experienced and intro level positions open, so whether you want to deepen your craft or branch out to something new, we are here to support you!
Note Chinese dance is a series of dance styles, not an ethnicity or identity. We welcome team members from every ethnicity and national origin.
Flux & Form II Choreographer Applications Open Now
Flux & Form is an annual curated dance showcase dedicated to uplifting young artists and sustaining live art.
Performance Schedule
– Decisions Released: September 7th
– In-Progress Showing: November 7th (time TBD)
– Tech rehearsal(s): December 1st from 12-5 PM and December 2nd from 2-7 PM
– Performance date(s): December 3rd, 4th, 5th, at 7 PM at the Joe Goode Annex
Selected choreographers will receive a stipend of $275-$400 following the performance, with the amount determined by the number of performers in the piece.

Call for 2026-2027 Choreographers Career Development Initiative
Dance Canvas welcomes choreographers to apply for the 2026-27 Choreographer Career Development Initiative. This season, we ask choreographers to respond to the prompt: NOW! “What feels urgent, or impossible to ignore right now?”
Dance Canvas will select up to 10 choreographers to be part of the Choreographer Career Development Initiative. Dance Canvas choreographers will create, incubate, receive feedback and present their choreography to Atlanta Audiences. Dancers and resources provided. The program will end in a Performance Series at the Rialto Center for the Arts in Atlanta, GA on March 19th & 20th 2027!

Lighting Designer – Call for Collaborator
Seeking a Lighting Designer for Invisible Womb: Rebirth, a solo dance-theater production at Joe Goode Annex, San Francisco — October 24–25, 2026.
This design requires atmospheric work — haze, environmental transformation, and a water-like floor effect — all programmed into QLab for independent touring. The light in this piece witnesses, partners, and acts. Experience with atmospheric design and QLab/DMX required.
The piece weaves African diasporic movement, somatic practice, and personal testimony to explore reproductive grief, womb healing, and women’s embodied story.
Compensation: Commensurate with experience. Portfolio essential.

Seeking a professional Videographer for Invisible Womb: Rebirth, a solo dance-theater production at Joe Goode Annex, San Francisco — October 24–25, 2026.
This footage becomes our touring booking reel and official archive — it cannot be recreated. Multi-camera coverage preferred. Deliverables: full edited performance + 3–5 minute highlight reel.
Experience documenting live dance or theater required. Low-light performance experience essential. Reel required. Compensation provided.
