Audience Guides for TASTE

Kristin Damrow & Company is seeking five audience guides for TASTE, an experiential dance performance at Space 124 at Project Artaud. Guides will lead audiences through the space and support the flow of the experience. This is not a dancing role, but guides will be visible among the performers and assist with light show prep and strike of small scenic items.

Seeking timely, reliable people with a confident, welcoming presence who are comfortable directing groups and responding calmly in real time.

Estimated Schedule:
Oct 14, 2–3:30 pm
Oct 16, 2–4 pm
Oct 20, 5:45–7:30 pm
Oct 22, 6–8:30 pm
Oct 23–24, 6:30–8:30 pm
Oct 25, 4–7:30 pm

Spaces for rent

Beautiful, bright activity studio available in the Marina District of San Francisco. The space is ideal for ballet, dance, music, movement, gymnastics, art, and other children’s enrichment classes. We are looking for instructors and teachers who would like to rent the space by the hour and bring their own classes. The room is clean, welcoming, and located in a great neighborhood. Studio 210 Winter 2027 Residency

DSDT’s Studio 210 Residency is a vehicle for Bay Area artists to hone their skills, experiment, and dive into making performance. The residency makes the rare offer of professional mentorship from Deborah Slater, financial support, peer feedback, free rehearsal space and culminating performances. The Residency is open to artists in all performing arts disciplines with at least three years of professional experience. The Residency will run Jan 4th – Feb 27th, 2027 with culminating performances on Feb 26th & 27th, 2027. The Winter 2027 application is now open and closes Wednesday October 14th, 2026 at 5pm PDT.

Unity Project Motion Capture-Looking for movement artists

“We Belong Together”

Sculptor Marco Cochrane (Bliss Dance, Truth Is Beauty, I Am) is casting for Unity — a monumental sculpture built from six real people representing All of Humanity suspended and moving within a sculpted energy field.

You’ll need to be comfortable suspended in a harness, moving through loose choreography while filmed. Paid rehearsals lead to a 3D-scanned capture day, your pose becomes part of the sculpture. We start with a 15ft version. We’re especially seeking Black, Indigenous, Latino, Asian, Middle Eastern, and multiracial embodied movement artists/dancers— men and women — energetically aligned with connection and the truth that we’re all one. This piece is as much energetic as physical.

2027 QDF FROLIC! Artist Call

The Queering Dance Festival invites all 18+ LGBTQIA2S+ Bay Area-based dance artists working in movement-based performance to apply to present new work at the FROLIC! performances, taking place in mid-late March in the Bay Area.

6 artists will be selected to present:
1 artist: 20-30 minute piece – $2400 commission + 30 hrs of free studio space
2 artists: 8-12 minute piece – $1400 commission + 20 hours of free studio space
3 artists: 4-5 minute piece – $650 commission + 15 hours of free studio space

Deadline: Monday, October 5th
Notification of Final Selection: October 21st

Looking for Movement Artists for Process-Based Creative Workshops

Recently returning to the Bay Area, I am an interdisciplinary choreographer / artist looking to connect with local movement artists interested in creative exploration and collaboration. I will be hosting intentional, process-based workshops at my home studio this fall and would love to invite those interested. Dance-artists of all walks of life, movement languages and abilities welcome. These workshops will be improv-based, site responsive and somatically inclined… cultivating a space to test choreographic ideas, experiment, immerse ourselves in the natural surroundings, and build community.
