2026 San Francisco Trans Film Festival Call For Submissions

The San Francisco Transgender Film Festival (SFTFF) seeks entries for our 2026 Festival (November 12-22, 2026). This year we are PRIORITIZING films 20 minutes or less. SFTFF accepts narrative, documentary, experimental, animated films and music videos. All work should be created by transgender/genderqueer people. We prioritize short films, but accept all screening lengths.

Regular Deadline: June 4, 2026 ($15)
Late Deadline: June 25, 2026 ($20)

We will notify you if your work is accepted by July 18, 2026. Once a film is submitted, it may not be withdrawn for any reason. All films will be closed-captioned for Deaf and Hard-of-hearing audiences. We do not provide screening fees. For questions or more information, contact: [email protected].

GREENLIT Emerging Choreographers Showcase

SEEKING: Contemporary dance works (max 15 min) for GREENLIT — a Bay Area showcase for emerging choreographers — performing May 29th & 30th. Solos, duets, trios, and small groups welcome. Completed works preferred; works in progress considered.

GREENLIT amplifies emerging artistic voices with a focus on community, opportunity, and risk-taking. An open space for ideas that are old, new, evolving, or undiscovered. *Informal showing — stage lighting not provided.

Unfortunately, we cannot provide financial compensation for participating choreographers. Performances will be recorded and footage shared.

Whether you need one studio for an audition, dance rehearsal, performance or a combination of spaces for your event, please contact us so we can customize a rental package to meet your needs. The ODC Dance Commons and ODC Theater buildings are a short walk from 16th & Mission Bart.

Summer 2026: RA and Resident Supervisor Opportunities (Multiple)

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an enriching dance student experience at a world-renowned dance center!

*We are hiring (4) Resident Assistants to support our Dance Summer Program youth for 3 weeks (July 11-Aug 2) in a dorm setting. There will be training required in advance of session start. This is a full-time, seasonal position with room and board included. $19.18/Hr + transportation stipend.

*We’re also hiring (1) Resident Supervisor to oversee our RA’s in the dormitories. This is a full-time, seasonal position with room & board included. $21/Hr + transportation stipend.

Summer Institute

Now in its 24th year, Summer Institute (SI) is a nationally-acclaimed, year-long professional development experience centered on the art of teaching dance to children of all ages. Bringing together teaching artists and education practitioners to activate and inspire individual and collective imaginations, SI includes in-person intensives, Zoom sessions, and individualized coaching.

In-person dates: July 13-17, January 16-17, May 22
No cost for selected applicants. Application due April 4
